The Head Chef at The Fontmell is Tom Shaw, previously at The Forester in Donhead St. Andrew. His menu changes frequently, depending on seasonal availability of ingredients. Typical dishes include Crab & Armagnac Soup (£5.50), Pan-Fried Fillets of Sole, Fondant Potato, Fish Finger, Pancetta, Pea Butter Sauce (£16.50) or Roasted Saddle of Venison, Dauphinoise Potatoes, Sloe Gin & Loganberry Jus (£18.00).

There is also a comfort food menu with dishes like Fontmell Fish Pie with Parmesan Crust and Spinach (£9) and a Steak and Claret Pudding with creamed potato and roasted shallots (£10).
